The 2012-14 CERM PI operational management benchmarks for Australian public sport, leisure & aquatic centres are now available. Data from the last three financial years has been combined to provide benchmarks based on data from 321 aquatic centres and 100 dry centres for 2012-2014.

Besides three groupings of dry centres, nine aquatic centre groupings allow for more appropriate comparisons of centres based on size. Increased sample sizes will allow for more benchmarks to be reported in future years, including comparisons between more specific types of centres.

All benchmarks published in the 2014 CERM PI Bulletins are the medians for the middle performing centre in that grouping for a specific benchmark.

Of the 321 aquatic centres that contributed data over the last three financial years, 50% were located in Victoria, 34% in NSW, 10% in Queensland and 4% in WA.

The full lists of benchmarks for nine groupings of aquatic centres are published in the CERM PI® 2014 Aquatic Centres Operational Management Benchmarks bulletin. Benchmarks for the three groupings of dry centres are published in a separate Bulletin. A selection of other benchmarks (e.g. 75th percentiles) can be provided for CERM PI Project subscribers on request.
